Our guide lists the locations of all Disney Dreamlight Valley materials. Disney Dreamlight Valley is a hybrid between a life simulator and an adventure game packed with quests, exploration, and engaging activities alongside Disney and Pixar friends old and new. Disney Dreamlight Valley is a free-to-play video game developed by Gameloft.

Where to find materials?

You can find materials in all biomes and realms. Some areas are more conducive to certain types of materials, follow the guide to find your way around.

How to acquire materials?

Use your pickaxe on the following (Rock, Ore, Ice Spike). Use your shovel on the following (soil, tree stump). Gather materials from the ground (stone, wood, clay). You can also purchase materials directly from Kristoff’s booth once unlocked.

How to get materials quickly?

To get materials faster, assign the task of mining, gathering, or digging to a kingdom character. Take them with you on your expeditions to multiply your rewards.

Clay

To get the Clay material, you need to go to the following areas: Bayou of trust, sunlit plateau and Forgotten Lands. Dig into the ground with your shovel to get this material.

Hardwood

To get the hardwood material, you need to go to the following areas: Bayou of Trust, sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands, frosted Heights, and Forest of Valor. Pick up pieces of wood from the ground or use your shovel on the stumps to dig up pieces of wood

Dry wood

To get the dry Wood material, you need to go to the following areas: Sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands, and Frosted Heights. Pick up pieces of wood from the ground or use your shovel on the stumps to dig up pieces of wood

Dark wood

To get the dark wood material, you need to go to the following area: Forgotten Lands. Pick up pieces of wood from the ground or use your shovel on the stumps to dig up pieces of wood

Snowball

To get the snowball material, you need to go to the following area: Frosted Heights

Cotton

To get the cotton material, you need to go to the following area: Sunlit Plateau

Crystal

To get the crystal material, you must go to the following area: Forgotten Lands. Use your pickaxe on ores to extract the material.

Dream shards

To obtain the material, Dream Shard, search throughout the realm. You get them by digging or removing night thorns from all biomes.

Night shards

To obtain the Night shard material, search throughout the realm. You get them by digging or removing night thorns from all biomes.

Pebble

To get the pebble material, you need to go to the following areas: Dazzle Beach, Forest of Valor, sunlit Plateau, and the Forgotten Lands. Dig into the ground with your shovel to find this material.

Coal ore

To get the coal ore material, use your pickaxe on ores in all biomes to mine the material.

Iron ore

To get the iron ore material, you need to go to the following areas: Forest of valor, sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands, frosted Heights, and Bayou of Trust. Use your pickaxe on ores to get this material.

Gold nugget

To get the gold nugget material, you need to go to the following areas: Sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands, and frosted Heights. Use your pickaxe on ores to get this material.

Stone

To get the stone material, you must go to all biomes and use your pickaxe on stones to get the material.

Sand

To get the sand material, you need to go to the following area: Dazzle  Beach. Dig with your shovel in the sand to collect this material.

Soil

To get the soil material, you need to go to the following areas: Forest of valor, Sunlit Plateau, The Forgotten Lands, frosted Heights, Bayou of Trust, Esplanade, and Peaceful Meadow. Dig with your shovel in the ground to collect this material.

Rich Soil

To get the rich soil material, you must go to all areas. You must plant an ingredient and harvest it. You will randomly receive rich soil.
